At New Dawn ADHD Coaching, we help you determine if ADHD is a factor and guide you to thrive with it.

Therapy focuses on healing past experiences and emotional challenges. ADHD coaching is action-oriented, helping you manage day-to-day struggles, build routines, and move forward. Many clients benefit from doing both. Therapy offers deep emotional support, while coaching offers structure, accountability, and practical tools.

A qualified ADHD coach brings both empathy and specialized training. Unlike general life coaches, ADHD coaches understand the neuroscience and patterns behind ADHD and offer strategies tailored to your needs. Unqualified coaching can leave you feeling more stuck. With professional support, clients often see life-changing shifts within a few months.

Yes – and it makes a big difference. I have ADHD too, so I understand the challenges first-hand: procrastination, planning struggles, and mental overload. This shared experience means we can connect more deeply from the start.

There’s no quick fix – but most clients start noticing meaningful changes in just 3 months. Coaching is about building up your confidence one brick at a time: we make small, sustainable changes to thinking patterns and habits that lead to lasting transformation over time. We go at your pace.

Sessions typically last around 50 minutes. However, we may be able to extend if needed. Interestingly, some of the most effective sessions are shorter and more focused.

Yes. You are paying for coaching as you want the best for your child so it’s only natural they will get the outcomes you want out of it. In this case we can agree the objectives all together upfront. Most sessions will be between myself and your child and therefore confidential, but we will have regular review points to discuss progress to make you feel included.

If Access to Work or your employer is covering your sessions, the rate is £180, however I can help create a coaching and payment plan tailored to you dependent on your grant, and support you with the admin. If your funding situation changes, you can switch to private payment or back again – just let me know in advance so we can update the setup smoothly.

Before we talk about next steps, I always like to understand what you’re hoping to gain from coaching. What would feel like a meaningful outcome for you? This helps us focus our time and energy where it matters most.

Coaching is a financial investment. If you’re currently in crisis or dealing with significant debt, this might not be the right time to begin. Coaching works best when you’re in a position to commit time, energy and financial resources to making change.
